I Almost Didn’t Buy It now I can’t stop looking in the Mirror whenever I pass.
Look, I’m going to be real with you because I wish someone had been this honest with me.
I sat on that “Add to Cart” button for THREE DAYS. Just staring at it. Refreshing the page.
Reading reviews. Talking myself out of it, then back into it. You know why? Because I’d been burned before. I have bought things from different vendors that promised me the world and gave me nothing but an empty bank account and more disappointment.
My hip dips made me feel so awkward. I had seen other girls with these beautiful curves and just think “why can’t that be me?” I tried working out harder, eating different, wearing certain clothes to hide it, nothing worked. And honestly? I was getting tired of feeling like this.
But here’s the thing that got me: I kept thinking about how I would feel in 3 months if I did NOTHING. Still uncomfortable. Still avoiding certain outfits. Still feeling like I was missing out on feeling confident in my own body.
So I said screw it and ordered.
The first few weeks? I wasn’t sure I saw anything. I almost gave up. But I kept going because I promised myself I would at least finish what I started and coupled with the fact, they kept checking on me to see my progress..
Then around week 5 or 6, I noticed my jeans fitting differently. Then my boyfriend made a comment (in a good way, lol). Then I caught myself in the mirror after a shower and actually stopped to look.
Nine months later and I’m telling you I wish I had ordered sooner. My hips have this shape now that I genuinely didn’t think was possible for my body. Not like Instagram fake, but like… ME, the version I always wanted to be. I actually WANT to take pictures now. I actually feel excited getting dressed.
I am not saying this to brag. I am saying this because if you are like me sitting there, doubting, scared to be disappointed again I get it. But what if it actually works? What if three months from now you’re so glad you tried?
That’s all I’m saying. I almost let my fear steal this from me. Don’t let yours steal it from you.
